Nick Buhbe, MS, Principal & Founder
Nick has been working across the Pacific and the US for several decades. His work focuses on multifaceted issues affecting natural resource-related regulatory compliance, particularly in relation to the Clean Water Act and analogous State legislation. Nick’s technical roles often consider how water and sediment quality affect biological resources. His project work has assessed sources of impact that assess how physical forces or conditions impact ecology, toxicity of single or multiple contaminants, the thresholds of unacceptable risk to the environment, and biological chain reactions which degrade beneficial uses. Nick has extensive understanding of both marine and freshwater aquatic systems, applied chemistry, ecology, toxicology, and risk assessment. His understanding of complex environmental conditions are of value to projects involving multiple stakeholders and technical disciplines. And while program management always keeps Nick engaged, time out of doors collecting data and mentoring staff are the drivers of satisfaction. He can be reached at nick@missionenv.com.
